TRUE LOVE

I seem to not be a girl of many words. For the most part, my blog is full of the joys of our children expressed mainly through photographs. Rarely do I write a whole lot. I love pictures, I think they usually speak for themselves. However, I am feeling the need to express a few thoughts...I do view this as my journal/memory book (since I am not good at keeping up with either). Plus, I don't get to see/talk to my husband much these days but I know I can communicate through the computer :), he's usually close to or using one all day and I think checking the blog is his way of feeling like he's seen his kids during the day (poor guy!) Wednesday Tyler came home from work with a beautiful bouquet of daises, I love them! But more than anything, I love him! He used them as a symbol of his deepest feelings and desires to be better. Ty has not had the best time here at the VA. The past two weeks he has put in over 160 hours at the hospital and he has been very tired and frustrated with himself and his circumstances. We have felt his lack of sleep and frustration at home, and I have really wanted to fix it for him and help him feel better, but instead I just get worn out and grouchy too (which is super helpful!) If anything, I should have been the one to buy him flowers (or something more manly:)) Wednesday, he definitely deserved it more... In spite of how awful he'd been feeling he came home happy and determined to spread joy through the home. Even at his "worst" Tyler has a way of spreading light and love. I love him for his optimism and his desire to be a good dad and husband. He IS an awesome dad and a wonderful husband, ALL of the time, even when he may not thinks so. I know I don't show or say it as much as a should, but I love him and I think he is an amazing person. I hope to be more like him in many ways! We had a blast walking to the park and playing together as a family that afternoon. Thank you Ty for helping us all feel better about life. We love you! I learned a great lesson from you this week (hopefully I can prove it to you in our years to come). I want to be more selfless and lovable, even on my "bad" days! Thank you for the flowers, you're the BeST!

Oh my gosh, how is Coleson one already?! That is crazy! Time is flying by. Your girls are getting so big. You'll have to get the U cheerleader outfits. I secretly like it better than the BYU one. It's much cuter. It looks like you guys are doing lots and having fun. Love the flowers from Tyler. What are you going to do? They are just going to be gone for the next 5 years. Comforting. . . isn't it? :) Wish we could hang out. Say hi to your fam.

Andrea where are you? I don't remember if you are still back east or not. You can email me if you would rather not put it on my blog. Thank you for your desire to be better for your husband - I needed that today. Michael is so awesome and I was feeling not so thrilled about him having to work overtime tonight. But you reminded me that he probably isn't thrilled either and that I can do something nice for him. Thanks for your example, you are awesome.

We are only 5 hours apart! I don't remember what there is between here and there, but we need to get together. I lived where you are as a kid, I started elementary school at Maple Grove and we moved during my 2nd grade year. It would be so awesome to see you and your family, we need to plan something before you head out back east!

Sorry I realized I didn't answer your questions. We get the pics and JCPenney because I hear they are the nicest in our area, but mainly because we have a two year sitting fee waived club plan thingy, and I was the JCP portrait girl as a kid. My mom and I did commercials and everything - I have way too many pics of me at age 3. Seriously though, they do a really good job and although the camera is digital the prints aren't, so they are better quality than say Target, and you can get coupons online for $4 a sheet. When we go in with ideas of our own the pictures always turn out awesome, because combined with their ideas we get a large array of choices. However, crazy busy during Christmas, last year was nearly a disaster for us. We are going on the 17th of this month for our Christmas photos - beat the rush right? I must brag a little more. Elizabeth and I did a photo shoot a couple of months ago, we dressed up like royalty complete with Elizabeth's tiara's and clip-on earrings. We had great girl time and the photographer asked us if she could use some of the pictures in the studio. It is weird to see us framed when we go in, but fun too. A different photographer took the shots of me and the boys, she loved the one with the light sabers and asked to put it in the studio as well. You couldn't tell it is me in both, my hair was long with Elizabeth, and it was my profile kissing her beautiful face. Sorry, this was long, it is late and I am rambling. Enjoy conference this weekend!
BTW- cute idea in the friend for a conference reverence tent. My kids have never been this excited to sit for 8 hours!

Oh How I love you...you two are sooo amazing and such an inspiration to me. I knew from the first time I saw you with Ty that you two would make a perfect couple...and although I hated him for taking you away from me...I love him so much for making you happy. I LOVE YOU TOO AND I MISS YOU DEARLY!!! Maybe one day I can figure out how to get my butt out there to say HI and spend some time together.
