A much needed family "get-away"

So, again, i am months behind, but in october we enjoyed a great vacation, just the 5 of us. we rented a fun cabin at the end of a long private road in the mountains, just as all the fall colors were in full bloom. it was a very relaxing reminder of what is truly important...we felt swallowed up by the love of our Heavenly Father, it was easy to recognize all of our MANY blessings and what a beautiful world we have to live in, there are so many things around us that point to how much He loves us. and it was fun to remember that we love eachother and are so happy when we are all together without any outside pressures...

coleson LOVED the trip back down the hill...and they were all shocked that after all that hiking to get to the top we were going to go right back down the way we came.

apparently we weren't the only creatures on the trails. for a minute kinzie thought she might not make it up.

soccer and baseball were a blast...well for everyone but addellyn who didn't get to throw the ball this time, coleson did, life is so unfair.

the backyard of the cabin was from a movie and the amazing view as we drove down our own private road to the cabin seemed absolutely surreal.

LOOK...not sure what they saw, but i love that they all follow makinzie's command. below the rock the weather was quite nice...

the slugs were very interesting and the waterfall had the only bench right next to it, luckily all three fit at the same time.

At the top of the rock there was a fierce wind blowing UP (as you can see by Kinzie's pony-tail).
