Arts and Crafts

The kids love doing arts and crafts.  While there is often a big mess to clean up, their artististic expressions can be a lot of fun.
How is this art, might you ask?  Well, Coleson decided to draw all over a balloon he had blown up.  Then, he decided he was going to blow rasberries on the same balloon.  I guess he didn't realize that the marker would wipe off the balloon and all over his face.  He didn't find it was nearly as funny as I did.  Poor kid.
Here is Kinzie's little homage to North Carolina.  This cardinal (the state bird) is eating out of the bird feeder outside our back door. She had a lot of fun and really likes the "mixed media" approach to art work.
And every parent knows that art work that doubles as a
"music" maker is the very best kind!
We're so glad that the kids love to exercise their creative powers!

Elena loves mixed media too! Hopefully her artwork will be as awesome as Kinzie's when she's her age. I am impressed by the cardinal and the banjo/guitar. :)
It is always nice to read the updates! The kids and I will be in town this coming Sunday and Monday. We'll definitely pop in and say hi or maybe actually plan a time to "pop in"!

Um, I sure hope you're joking about artwork that makes noise!!! Seriously, ANYTHING that makes noise should be banned...........their mouths make enough.
