Uncle Ben was assigned to be out of the country for nearly a year, so Aunt Lindsey decided to take advantage of her alone time (and only needing to buy one expensive ticket rather than two) to come and see us!
It is soooo nice to have an extra set of hands, eyes, etc. around as you take kids out on summer "bu-bentures," I really loved the extra help and the adult conversation!
We decided to spend one of our days at the science museum.
Another day we walked all through Old Salem.
And chatted with the birds while the big kids went with Lindsey inside of the little shops.
Aunt Lindsey surprised the kids with a yummy brownie mix and the chance to "help" her make them! They were all THRILLED.
We did get to spend one day with Tyler (during the 2 weeks she was here). We headed to the Reynolda House and Gardens.
Kinzie wasn't with us at Reynolda (or for most of the week) because she was rehearsing for her debut in the Backyard Shakespeare Performance.
So, from the gardens we headed out to watch some Shakespeare. Coleson was even able to make an appearance with a sword and the ability to conquer death several times...
We spent our last day in the mountains hiking.
I promise that I carried the heavy pack some of the time...
By the time Lindsey was carrying Evaleigh she was ready to be out on her own.
And she was so happy when we finally released her into the "wild."
It was a beautiful, warm and quiet day in the mountains. The kids did a great job! And we were really going to miss having Aunt Lindsey around to "carry half of the load" in more ways than one....

How nice of Tyler to grace y'all with his presence for one day out of those 14. ;) This aunt sounds like a keeper. I want one of those.
